We have a situation where a board member has severe damage to their building. We want to have meeting to discuss this situation to determine who has to pay for what owner (board member) or association. Can this particular board member be excluded to allow open frank discussion. We are a very small 24 unit complex

    Morning Kenneth,

By virtue of conflict of interest, the board member can be excluded to allow for open frank discussion.

    I totally agree with Bridgit.

I think it would be respectful to allow the owner to make a presentation but then the board should only ask questions and not debate possible outcomes. Then he/she should leave.
