Our Management Company was asked to provide the percentage of owner occupied units. They provided a ballpark. Is that not something they should keep a track of?

What do your bylaws say?
Commonly, bylaws require owners/landlords to provide details of residents. Some bylaws even require a copy of the rental agreement is filed with the Board.
I can see why your board might be interested: Many condominium owners are unhappy with the number of tenants. A legal case about 40 years ago said condos could not restrict landlords from renting units. It was their right as property owners.
