    @MarkH

    Early on in the pandemic, before Canada and Alberta sorted their policies out, notices appeared in our six elevators and three mailrooms, as well as outer entry doors, that masks were required on all common property. Elevators were limited to only one person at a time, so waiting (not long) became normal. Access to the pool and gym were by appointment only until forbidden by Alberta; that has now (2021 06 25) been restored. The mask and elevator policy remains in effect now; I don’t know what is planned for July 1st, or 5th when the City of Calgary may decide whether or not to continue its policy.

    So far as I know, there have been no cases of coronavirus in our 175‑unit, three buildings, six elevators development.

    In my opinion, the question of mask‑wearing rests with the individual. My wife and I won’t have our vaccination #2 until 2021 07 02, so fourteen days later we will ‘officially’ be immunised and may be mask‑free. Will we go ‘maskless’? Not until Alberta exhibits 75% second doses accomplished (we are both immune‑compromised and antique). Part of that thinking is that masks have been shown to be effective in stopping the spread of other airborne diseases such as influenza and the common cold.
