Condo Chat Registration Fee

Dear valued COF member:

COF has benefited immensely from the strong support of our members and volunteers over the past 7 years. With your support, we have offered numerous in-person and online educational and networking events.

During the pandemic, in-person events ceased and online became the norm. Offering our Condo Chats online has proven to be quite successful and we’ll continue to offer them regularly in this fashion. In addition, we’re excited to start planning for the re-introduction of our in-person events this year!

In this post-pandemic environment, we’re now experiencing software cost increases which impact our overhead and thus our delivery costs for these events. After careful consideration, on January 1, 2023, we introduced a $15 per Condo Chat registration fee for our members (and an increase of the Condo Chat registration fee for non-members to $35).

We sincerely thank you for your understanding of this new fee and we look forward to your continued support of COF and your attendance at our Condo Chats and other upcoming educational events.

Please reach out to us if you have any questions, concerns, or require more information.

Sincerely,

Board of Directors , Condo Owners Forum

Many of these inquiries have also assumed that calculating the result of a special resolution vote is based on the total number of units in a condominium. As I will explain, this is incorrect.

DOLLARS AND SENSE

Condominium corporations benefit greatly when board members have financial knowledge and follow common-sense financial management processes. Does your condo board include at least one person with financial experience, who can analyze and clearly communicate the condominium corporation’s current and forecast financial position to other board members and all owners?
