Dustin GutscheDirectors at Large | Calgary, ABDustin is a new addition to the team at COF. Having served several times on condo boards ranging from a 4 unit self directed community to a 265 unit multiple building professionally managed complex. Now he has expanded to the management side of condominiums to reap the benefits of years of collaboration and growth.
With degrees in education and engineering, Dustin has had previous careers as an educator and a construction surveyor but his passion has always been for the education and advocacy of people he is privileged to serve. |
Glen MabbottDirectors at Large | Calgary, ABGlen brings a wealth of experience from his 36-year career at AGT/Telus, where he advanced from technical roles to planning and managerial positions. His passion for community involvement is evident through his extensive service on various condo boards. Glen served as Chair of a condo board at Panorama Mountain Village, BC, overseeing interior furnishings, maintenance, and housekeeping for 53 units. Additionally, he contributed to the Strata Board managing the exterior maintenance, landscaping, and roadways of 256 units. Since moving to Horizon Village in 2012, Glen has held multiple roles on its board, except Secretary, and has dedicated over a decade to improving the community. Joining COF was a turning point for him, expanding his knowledge and expertise in condominium management. Glen’s primary focus is on promoting education and fostering better communication between board members and condo owners, ensuring a more informed and connected community. |
Leslie HamiltonDirectors at Large | Calgary, ABLeslie has lived in Calgary since 1980 after moving from Ottawa where she was studying for a BSc. Her career has been varied - from pharmaceutical sales rep, to options trader and stock broker, to mediator, to crime analyst. She received a MA in 2013 and is currently working on a BA in Art History. Leslie bought her first and only condo about 12 years ago and has enjoyed condo life. She has recognized the need to have a more even playing field when it comes to disputes between condo owners, condo boards, and condo management companies. She has joined COFS in hopes of achieving that; the ultimate goal is having mediation as the first mandatory step in dispute resolution. |
Patricia TolppanenDirectors at Large | Calgary, AB
Patricia has a background in law and mediation, and has worked for both municipal and provincial government. She volunteered for many years with the Provincial Court Civil Mediation program, and remains a long-time member of the Community Mediation Calgary Society. She gained considerable governance experience as Executive Director of the Calgary Police Commission and the Alberta Association of Police Governance. Patricia and her husband own a condo in Calgary, and one in Victoria B.C.
