David Minifie

Co-Chairperson | Canmore, AB

Following a 38 year career with a major bank, in 2010 David retired to Canmore, Alberta, living in a condo purchased some years prior.

Interested in applying some of his knowledge and skills that helped to build his career, David joined the condo Board in 2011 and has served as its President for most of his time on the board. In addition, he serves as President on another condo board where he has a rental property. In 2018 he joined the Board of the Canmore Seniors Association, serving as President for 3 years and continuing in the role of Past-President. In 2015, David founded the Canmore Condominium Interest Group which provides a forum to support the sharing of information and problem solving.

David supports striving to achieve a ‘best in class’ condo corporation and positive community reputation, including strong governance (principles and practices), financials (budget, finance, capital work), Board structure (organization, operations, collaborative and team approach), and progressive communications with owners.

Living in Canmore means getting out into the wild, and he volunteers extensively with Alberta Parks assisting in the areas of wildlife research and management.


Bridgit Kong

Co-Chairperson and Treasurer | Calgary, AB

Bridgit moved to Calgary in 2000 to attend SAIT and has stayed ever since. Having lived and worked most of her life in Calgary condos as a contractor, renter, owner, landlord, rental manager and condo manager, she's held various volunteer positions on Boards and Committees.

While her travels have taken her far and wide, visiting family and leisure conventions, she's enjoyed chasing her architectural heroes from the rustic log cabins in the Rockies to the history-steeped Vatican.


Terry Gibson

Board Member (Co-Founder) | Calgary, AB

Terry Gibson, a resident of Calgary, is a Co-founder and Board Member of Condo Owners Forum Society of Alberta. He is a public consultation professional with extensive real estate and housing experience. In his career, he has financed condos, overseen the construction of two large condo projects and has lived in condos for over 26 years.

Terry has facilitated many workshops on board governance throughout the province of Alberta for nonprofit societies and condos, and has authored many information and education bulletins for condo stakeholders. Terry holds a Bachelor of Arts, Economics and Commerce degree from Simon Fraser University and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia.


Lee Ann Bartley

Secretary | Airdrie, AB

Lee Ann moved to Airdrie from Victoria, BC in 2022, she retired in 2020 after 20 plus years as the Executive Director of a small non-profit. She has also worked in the legal field (accounting) and credit and financial industries.

Lee Ann has been a strata owner in BC for 30 plus years, being on council/boards for most of those years and has served time in all of the positions. She has with a self-managed stratas as well as working with Property Managers.

Avid reader, crafter (knitting, card making, cross stitch), spending time with family here in Alberta and BC. Both Lee Ann and her husband hope to continue to travel more in the near future.



Dustin Gutsche

Directors at Large | Calgary, AB

Dustin is a new addition to the team at COF. Having served several times on condo boards ranging from a 4 unit self directed community to a 265 unit multiple building professionally managed complex. Now he has expanded to the management side of condominiums to reap the benefits of years of collaboration and growth.

With degrees in education and engineering, Dustin has had previous careers as an educator and a construction surveyor but his passion has always been for the education and advocacy of people he is privileged to serve.


Glen Mabbott

Directors at Large | Calgary, AB

Glen brings a wealth of experience from his 36-year career at AGT/Telus, where he advanced from technical roles to planning and managerial positions. His passion for community involvement is evident through his extensive service on various condo boards.

Glen served as Chair of a condo board at Panorama Mountain Village, BC, overseeing interior furnishings, maintenance, and housekeeping for 53 units. Additionally, he contributed to the Strata Board managing the exterior maintenance, landscaping, and roadways of 256 units.

Since moving to Horizon Village in 2012, Glen has held multiple roles on its board, except Secretary, and has dedicated over a decade to improving the community. Joining COF was a turning point for him, expanding his knowledge and expertise in condominium management.

Glen’s primary focus is on promoting education and fostering better communication between board members and condo owners, ensuring a more informed and connected community.


Leslie Hamilton

Directors at Large | Calgary, AB

Leslie has lived in Calgary since 1980 after moving from Ottawa where she was studying for a BSc. Her career has been varied - from pharmaceutical sales rep, to options trader and stock broker, to mediator, to crime analyst. She received a MA in 2013 and is currently working on a BA in Art History.

Leslie bought her first and only condo about 12 years ago and has enjoyed condo life. She has recognized the need to have a more even playing field when it comes to disputes between condo owners, condo boards, and condo management companies. She has joined COFS in hopes of achieving that; the ultimate goal is having mediation as the first mandatory step in dispute resolution.


Patricia Tolppanen

Directors at Large | Calgary, AB

Patricia has a background in law and mediation, and has worked for both municipal and provincial government. She volunteered for many years with the Provincial Court Civil Mediation program, and remains a long-time member of the Community Mediation Calgary Society. She gained considerable governance experience as Executive Director of the Calgary Police Commission and the Alberta Association of Police Governance. Patricia and her husband own a condo in Calgary, and one in Victoria B.C.
