Understanding the agency relationship is essential for every condo board and industry professional. In this session, we’ll demystify the roles, responsibilities, and legal implications of the agent-principal dynamic within condominium management. I’ll walk you through core concepts using real-world examples and open the floor for questions after each key point, just as we’ve done in past CCI legal panels.

Whether you're a new board member, a seasoned manager, or somewhere in between, this session will help clarify who is responsible for what—and why it matters.

Key Discussion Points:

  • Who is the Agent, and Who is the Principal?
  • Scope of Authority
  • Financial Limits within a Management Agreement
  • Board Decisions vs. Manager Execution
  • Management Shortage in the Industry – Why Become a Condo Manager?
