This session provides a clear and practical overview of condominium insurance — breaking down what’s covered by the Corporation’s policy versus the Unit Owner’s policy. We’ll explore common myths and facts, outline responsibilities when damage occurs, and explain key terms like “betterments” and “Standard Insurable Unit Description.” Participants will also learn what questions to ask their broker, how to navigate insurance changes and regulations, and what to consider when dealing with short-term rentals or solar installations. By the end, you’ll know exactly where your responsibilities begin and end — helping you avoid costly misunderstandings and ensure proper coverage.
